About Birthing Joy Doula

About me

My name is Kelsey or as my favorite little ones call me auntie “KelKey”. 

I live in Charleston, SC and I am cat mom to Quincy. AKA: Quinstopher Robin or Quinn Stefani.


I love making connections and getting to hear the mother's stories. I offer a range of services including prenatal care, labor and birth support, postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and more. 


I also provide home birth services for hospital, birth center or low risk pregnancies who wants home birth with a midwife present as well. 


why i love my job

As a Doula I get to be a part of a very vulnerable intimate experience. I am able to see the divine goddess power emerge from within my clients to bring life into this world.


I love the female body. I love babies. I love connecting with others. I love serving. I witness miracles and create a unique relationship with all my families.

I am an experienced childcare provider of over 20 years. I am passionate about comprehensive care to women and families throughout their pregnancy and childbirth journey. I attend and co-lead childbirth education classes locally in Charleston, SC.  As a member of the Professional Doula's of Charleston, I partner with other local birth workers to volunteer for the local community.
